About Us

In 2015 a small group of  like-minded Christians headed by Pastor Orono Bonifence working in the development sector, got together to establish Voice Outreach Uganda after they learned of many families living in extreme poverty, poor hygiene and struggling to survive in rural communities of Tororo District.

 Voice Outreach Uganda is an independent registered non-government and non-profit organization.  It’s a grass root community-based organization which is responsive to the needs of her Partners, Women, Children and Youths. strategically formed to develop and equip the disadvantaged communities economically, spiritually, mentally and socially through partnership and God’s given resources.

Voice Outreach Uganda is formed with structures that define and explain a hybrid Organization that works towards producing a God fearing, informed and healthy communities with sustainable social economic livelihoods in the areas of Farming, Education, ICT & Digital Arts and Discipleship. Also, provides services and trainings designed to help the targeted communities to be innovative and create opportunities to become self-sufficient, gender equity, social unity and resiliency.

Consequently, the organization’s focus was not kept limited either in terms of geography or sector. Whilst operating in different districts of the eastern Uganda.

The aims and objectives of the organization shall be:

  1. To carryout Holistic Christian child Development, advocate, defend children’s rights, nature them into God fearing, productive and responsible citizens.
  2. Care and offer moral, mental support to the underprivileged ones in the vulnerable communities thus orphans and other vulnerable children, women (Gender equity), P.W.Ds and elderly
  3. Fight illiteracy at all levels through promotion of access to Education facilities both formal and non-formal for all emphasizing girl child education and adult literacy.
  4. To promote modern farming methods for high yield production.
  5. To unite and constitute Tororo farmers into a collective forum to enhance national bargaining power in Agricultural production.
  6. To empower farmers access informal and formal services including low interest loans, low cash extension services and inputs.
  7. To create sound, collective and reliable market opportunities for agricultural outputs.
  8. To promote protection and conservation of the environment by members and other affiliate communities.
  9. To improve access to socio economic services by vulnerable people (PWD) to make them be self reliant.
  10. To promote social economic empowerment of the economically disadvantaged through socio economic enterprises for sustainability, self reliance.
  11. To promote equal gender balance to the communities of Uganda with socio economic skills.
  12. To preach peace by spreading the gospel of the lord Jesus Christ
  13. To support development and management of businesses and other enterprises through trainings and provision of revolving funds for small and medium scale enterprises.

The organization shall pursue her objectives basing on the three aspects “PreTFa” (Preach. Train. Farm)

  1. Spiritual activities i.e Evangelism, discipleship, Church planting and other related activities.
  2. Physical/health sensitization, treatment, Nutrition / food security, general health/hygiene, HIV/AIDS and other STDS related interventions.
  3. Cognitive / economic, educational intervention, support agricultural activities and needy orphans and other vulnerable children.
